The Chair
Designed to be Dressed

Saïdath Ouabi is a freelance designer based in Paris. Trained as an interior architect and product designer, she developed a passion for clothing at an early age, fascinated by cut, volume and movement.
After graduating, she chose to go freelance and developed a cross-disciplinary practice at the intersection of design, fashion and space.
By questioning the function of clothing—how it dresses, reveals and structures—she imagined a hybrid form: a chair that, like a body, could be dressed. This intuition gave rise to the Couture chair, a manifesto piece where design and couture expertise come together to bring a new, unique object to life.
